29 on 29

I've been busy (lazy) lately so I was not able write about what happened on my 29th birthday. It's been  almost four weeks so I guess I have to write about it already. 


Why do I say my 29th birthday was awesome?


#1 I turned 29 on the 29th of May was sandwiched in the 3 day weekend because of the Memorial Day celebration


#2 I went to see Sex and the City 2 with my sister-in-law and cousin-in-law. We had Margaritas before the show too!

#3 because of reason #1 a lot of people was available to come and celebrate my birthday at the Malibu Beach

See? I invited a life guard and a lot of people! jk!

We were having such a great time that we forgot to take a group picture... bummmer. So I had to make a collage. This is not even complete. But its will do I guess... :)

I finally met Tita Glo and his three boys. Geo also formally introduced Jessica to the family. It was a great day!

He sits anywhere he wants... too bad he got this oil tar stain ! it looks really funny!

Obviously I was not taking a picture of my DH. :) Nice view right?

The water was SOOOO cold. It was ICE COLD! We just took a dip and thats it! We are done.

#4 my mom-in-law prepared a lot of stuff for my birthday and even bought a cake for me

We Were trying to light the candles but we had no luck coz' it was so windy

After the long day at the beach, Erika arranged a poker night for all their cousins, cousins-in-law, cousins-in-law to be and friends. We forgot to take pictures again! The best part of the night was TABOO! Its a nerve wracking game but always super fun! Its a battle between the boys and the girls. Sadly the girls have been defeated once again. We will be prepared for the next battle for sure!!! Watch out boys!


#5 I went shopping for shoes and some other stuff. 


That Sunday we were supposed to go to Disneyland but its no fun if its just me and my DH. Who will take our pictures right? So we went shopping at Camarillo Outlet mall instead which is waaaaay better for me. 




#6 I WAS WITH MY HUSBAND TO CELEBRATE MY 29th birthday.

It started this year and its going to be that way every single year for the rest of our lives ... Together on both our birthdays... 

A year ago... He sent me roses for my birthday. So sweet.

My birthday could've been extremely great if my family was here too. We always celebrate my birthday in whatever way possible. We have dinner or watch a movie or whatever as long as we're together. I guess I was lucky to have my birthday on a 3-day weekend. My DH's family made me feel at home and very special that day. I am very happy and thankful for that. I am very blessed.

PURPLE

Me and my DH had an appointment in San Francisco last Monday. He insisted to take the day off even though our appointment was in the afternoon. It was great because we got to spend a little extra time together. 


We went to Emeryville right after the appointment. We had our super late lunch and super early dinner at the Public Market. They offer over 20 unique food retailers like Asian, Mediterranean, Vietnamese etc. After that we went for a stroll at the Bay Street. I was actually planning to buy for my favorite cologne at Bath and Body Works but they didn't have it at that branch. We just decided to do some window shopping.


First stop was See's candies. It was my first time to walk inside that store. I've never stated any of their candies too. As soon as we stepped in, a lady gave us free samples! Wow! My husband was so happy of course. We bought just a $4 worth of chocolates which was so good. 


After that, ALDO! I was not planning to buy. I was just looking around. I've always liked their shoes and accessories. I was hoping my DH to find new shoes but I ended up buying for myself again.

Look how cute it is. It is so comfortable believe me!  Pleated fabric upper with back tie and concealed wedge! Its perfect! 

Purple is not actually my favorite color but it turns out I have a lot of purple clothes!  I even have a purple jacket which I bought just  recently. I'm starting to think that it is my favorite color. But... NOT! 


I am still looking for the perfect Mary Jane wedge shoes. I love wedges. Its so comfortable! Speaking of wedges, my BASS Alexis wedge sandals is so comfortable. Its like I have memory foams inside my shoes!


I have to thank my DH for the shoes. I love you honey. xoxo

Gardening Novice

About two weeks ago, I had a terrible sore throat that I had to see a doctor. I think that was the after shock of an incredible weekend (my birthday weekend remember?). After seeing the doctor I decided to stroll around down town Pleasant Hill.


I went to a number of shops then I saw MICHAEL's, the craft store. So I went inside, looked around and found a lot of interesting stuff. Well I tried to control my self from buying anything coz the plan was just to kill time. Then I saw this cute little plastic pot, a Mini Tomato Grow kit which was just $2.

Back in L.A. Isabella, my DH's niece, and I planted a Daisy mini pot. So I basically had an idea what to do with my kit. It also came with detailed instructions and tips on how to take care of you plants so it was a no-brainer. But I'm anemic when it comes to gardening so I kept the instructions.


I placed my pot outside so it can get its much needed sun. The day after, I saw my pot empty! A cat played with my pot! I was so angry. Good thing the package came with extra seeds and the soil was good for two pots. I'm not entirely sure why I had too much soil. The pot I prepared with Isabella came with just enough soil. I just prayed I did the right thing.


My DH loves to water the plants and the grass. Yup! Although we have sprinklers he waters the grass and other plants there because he thinks it therapeutic. Since he was already taking care of the greenies outside I asked him to give my tiny pot a little shower. He then told me that he can see three teeny weeny leaves on my pot! YEY! I really thought I did everything wrong because I've been waiting for ten days already and nothing was happening! I'm so happy and excited! I think I'm ready to plant some herbs!

I'm so excited for the tomatoes! You guys should try it!
